Natural Eco Paints
Eco Crayons
Scissors
PVA glue
Paint brush
1. Decorate the basket and handle using Natural Eco Paints and Eco Crayons. Kids might like to use Eco Crayons to draw pictures on the basket first, and then paint the basket. If they would like the inside of the basket decorated too then flip the page over and get them to paint both sides.
2. Cut around the outside of the octagonal shape.
IDEA - you can talk to your kids about what an octagon is, count the 8 sides together, talk about octo- and what it means, ask questions about what animals have 8 legs for example, spiders and octopus
3. Cut out the handle.
4. Cut out the small triangles in between each of the sides.
5. Fold the dotted flaps internally on the basket and backward on the handle.
Children will need the help of an adult with this activity, especially cutting and pasting.
